Néanmoins, n‟a été retrouvé, à ce jour, aucune étude statistique prouvant l‟efficacité, la spécificité et les limites de ce test. De plus, il est difficile de trouver un protocole précis, permettant de mettre en évidence la fiabilité d‟un test ostéopathique. Nous avons donc décidé de mettre en place un protocole d‟expérimentation afin d‟objectiver la performance et les limites d‟un test, celui de la sous-talienne. Ce protocole a été réalisé dans un premier temps sur 31 patients. Ensuite, nous l‟avons reproduit sur 100 patients, afin d‟effectuer notre expérience sur un échantillon de patients plus large. Celui-ci a été réalisé par trois ostéopathes qui ont effectué le test de la sous-talienne et un podologue qui a analysé l‟empreinte plantaire des patients. L‟étude statistique qui a suivi a permis de mettre en évidence la fiabilité et la reproductibilité de ce test, avec un coefficient Kappa entre 0,619 et 0,699. Une autre étude par mise en corrélation avec le travail du podologue a permis de montrer les liens crédibles entre le travail de l‟ostéopathe et celui d‟un appareil médical : l‟emprunteur. The subtalar joint test is commonly performed in osteopathy. To this day, however, no proper statistical survey underscoring the efficiency, the specificity as well as the limits of the test has been conducted. Furthermore, it is difficult to find a specific protocol which would enable us to display the reliability of an osteopathic test. Therefore, in order to objectivize the results and limits of such a test as the subtalar joint test, we decided to set up an experimentational protocol. In the beginning, the protocol was performed on 31 patients. Then, we reproduced it on 100 patients, in order to perform our test on a broader sample. The subtalar joint test was performed by three osteopaths and a chiropodist who analyzed the patients‟ footprints. The subsequent findings of the statistical survey emphasize the reliability and reproducibility of the test, with a Cohen‟s Kappa value oscillating between 0,619 and 0,699. Another survey, connecting the work of the chiropodist with that of the osteopath allowed us to underline the credible relation between the work of the osteopath and that of a medical apparatus, the “empreinteur”.
