Résumé : Cette étude a pour objectifs d'évaluer la possibilité d'améliorer les troubles et les douleurs des patients présentant une malposition linguale, en associant deux techniques thérapeutiques : ostéopathie et orthophonie. Elle porte sur un groupe de 12 patients, tous suivi en orthophonie. L'étiologie des malpositions linguales est multiple, car la langue est un organe essentiel dans les fonctions de la cavité buccale : la respiration, la déglutition, la mastication et la phonation. Le travail commun entre ostéopathe et orthophoniste se concrétise par l'élaboration d'une grille d'évaluation orthophonique précise et d'un bilan ostéopathique. La complémentarité entre ostéopathe et orthophoniste a permis de mettre en évidence les schémas lésionnels de chacun, de mieux les comprendre et ainsi d'adapter les traitements entrepris. Les changements observés s'appuient principalement sur la respiration, le faciès, la posture, la concentration mentale et l'investissement personnel. The goal of this study is to evaluate the possibility of improving the disorders and the pain for patients suffering from abnormal positioning of the tongue in the mouth, by associating two therapeutic techniques: osteopathy and speech therapy. It is based on a group of twelve patients, all being followed in speech therapy. There are multiple origins for the abnormal positioning of the tongue in the mouth due to the fact that the tongue is a very important organ in the functions of the mouth: breathing, swallowing, chewing and speaking. The teamwork between the osteopath and the speech therapist is realised by creating a detailed speech therapy evaluation and an osteopathic check up. The fact that the speech therapist and the osteopath complement each other helps show the type of lesions for each individual, to understand them better and to adapt the type of treatment chosen. The changes that were observed were focused on the breathing,facial expressions, posture, focus and personal investment.
