The purpose of this study is to show the effecct of two osteopathic techniques used in the immediate post- operative sequels of thoracic cardiac surgery.
With this aim we will make a comparison between two groups, one as a referencetest and the other treated by two osteopathic techniques: the first using sub-occipital bone traction and the second known as the cylinder technique.
By measuring the superior and inferior thoracic perimeters, as well as the peak-flow and the maximal expiratory volume per second, we can collate all these results and from them extrapolate the benefits for the patient.
We propose a classic plan for this study in which first we will recall the important anatomical details of the thorax, then the physiological details of the pericardiac fibrous sac and subsequently the pathological details of the different cardiac pathologies encountered. Secondly, we will develop the protocol of the study and the analysis of the results and finally a chapter will be devoted to the commentaries and perspectives relative to this study. - 68 p.
