Touch is the sense that an osteopath uses the most, as an individual and as therapist. It's his most precious too, though it's an osteopath can seek the depth of human being. He lays his hands on the patient's skin, on a dysfunction he embraces and trought which he is led fat is rythm to tissular balance. At first, we'll study the neurophysiological components of touch, which can explain some of the reactions that can be seen during an osteopathie treatment. Then, we'll tackle the psychological dimension that touch can involve by its social, etnical, cultural means, to finally see the therapeutic touch in the osteopathic practice. The interchange of touch and its communicative interest have a great part in the patient-practitioner relationship. And the willingness of answers to the questions is the reason to be of this paper. - [s.d.].
